This is a very unique and interesting book. Etiquette is not for royale people or people in high society only, for me everyone of us should practice this. No one wants to be embarrased anyway. With the help of this book you'll be confident to attend in any occasions because you know what to do and say when the situation requires etiquette. I'm truly glad I have found this book, because of this I realized my mistakes when attending occasions and it gave me more knowledge how to act or say something properly. This book is highly recommended.

Practical and proper conduct in any situation

“Mind your manners,” my mom used to always say to me. She taught my brothers and sisters etiquette as we were growing up and I was pleasantly surprised when I read this book, that she taught us pretty well. This set of rules given us by society, as presented by the author, Neil Schreiber, not only covers mealtime, which is when we usually got it from Mom, but at weddings and funerals, at the office, at a party, at a restaurant and even international business norms, so this book is more than “please no elbows on the table” “chew with your mouth closed” and use the correct fork for you salad” but even covers some things I hadn’t considered (but now do) like arrange to take care of the bill at a restaurant before hand and if you’re going dutch tell the waiter ahead of time so we don’t have to go through the impromptu math class.

Informative book!

People don't buy a book on etiquette unless there is a question about what to do and how to behave in unfamiliar situations, and so did I. Once that is understood, I found it helpful that Emily Post wrote her book to be accessible for information and situation and used it as i needed. Since that time, I have referenced it as needed and it has been able to show me what to do and what would be expected of me and others in various social interactions. I bought the kindle version and the author has structured this book in easy-to-use format. I recommend this book.
